We are endeavoring to be the church reveled in the New Testament. We know that Jesus promised to build the church (Matthew 16:18), that he purchased it with his blood (Acts 20:28) and that he gave us an example of the work and worship of his body. Because the church is comprised of human beings, there is a human side to the church. Human beings are fallible and often make mistakes. We sometimes fail to measure up to all God wants us to be. Our human failures, however do not effect the divine side of the church. The church, as God gave it, is perfect. It is all that he wants and expects it to be. Our goal is to follow the plan which God revealed and to be the kind of people that God desires us to be. The Spiritual Sword Volume 38, April 2007.
