September 28th - October 1,2008 The following excerpts are from an open letter from Howard Norton (Lectureship Director) and Lectureship Planning Committee. "This year's theme is "That We May Believe: Studies From the Gospel of John." In this study based on the writing of Jesus' beloved apostle, speakers will emphasize significant themes within the Gospel such as new birth, true worship, the kingship and divinity of Jesus, the compassion of Christ, and the victory of faith over unbelief. In addition to seven keynote lectures, we will offer approximately 150 hours of classes designed to stimulate your spiritual growth and challenge your faith." "Lectureship will offer classes in textual studies, archeology, preaching, church growth, counseling, church music, evangelism, missions, practical ministry, religious education, worship, church history and youth and family ministry." I truly hope that you will plan now to attend some or all of this year's Lectureship. From Levy, it is an hour's drive away. With the cost of gasoline, you may want to carpool. This will provide the following benefits; saves money (gas), great fellowship time and an opportunity to discuss that days lessons.
