Have you wondered where can I get involved at church? Here is the answer: Congregational Encouragement Ministry or CEM. CEM has several areas where you can be involved and be a real encourager. There is the visitation ministry where workers are assigned a team of 6 to 8 people that meet once a month for a potluck dinner and receive assignments. Those to be visited or sent a card are visitors to the worship assembly, hospitalized, shut-ins, and some just home from the hospital that are well enough to receive company. There is the calling ministry where you would call those who have missed 2 Sundays in a row from the worship assembly. You would be in a rotation of others who call. At this point in time, we need at least 2 more workers in this ministry so you would get assignments about once a month. The workers in CEM say they are really the recipients of the encouragement as they make their visits, send their cards and make their calls. Another benefit you will receive is getting to know others as you meet for dinner, visit and just fellowship. If you are serious about getting involved, please come over to the Ministry Center for lunch today after the worship assembly to learn more. Please think about it!
