Pray for the Gospel Chariot Missions PDF Print E-mail

George Funk created the Gospel Chariot Missions. They have 3 different RV's and trailers that travel all over Africa. Here is an update: "It has been cold this side, but starting to see some blossoms coming out. On the work front...GCM is firing on all cylinders. Remember some time back i said June and July will be good months because the Chariots will be in the most receptive area both at the same time. For the month of June and July there have been 509 souls baptized. 419 in Malawi and 90 in Venda. There have been other souls converted at the different offices and ministries as well. God is working. I stand amazed and cannot believe how every year gets better and better. We have had some problems. We ran out of gas funds in Zambia. Our Chariot in Malawi had a couple of knocks. We understand there will always be problems, but we got to look to positive and remember. We cannot put a price tag on the soul of a human being. It cost heaven the blood of God's only Son. I leave today for Rundu Namibia. The Fredericksburg Church of Christ will be campaigning with me there. Please pray for our safe travels." Tim Allison UCA Campus Ministry PDF Print E-mail

Tim Allison has been working with the Campus Ministry at UCA since 2004.  CCSU has many methods of reaching out to students.  Some of the things they do are Karaoke Nights, Progressive dinners, Tailgate parties, and short-term mission/relief trips.  Thursday nights at 7:00 pm is a special time for those who attend the CCSU.  This is when they gather together for weekly devotionals.  These devotionals are always a time of praise and adoration for the Lord and an uplifting time for those worshiping! The speakers, singing and prayers are all lead by the men of the CCSU.  The devotional talks are given from a young adult/college perspective and help all to keep running the race.  The singing is always full of praise and fires everyone up for the Lord's work.  At the CCSU, they try to keep up with all of the contmporary songs and even have a group that meets before devo to practice and learn new songs.  Furthermore, the prayers and announcements are all stufent led.  All in all it's a great time for God and uplifting for all.  This is a perfect place for the future leaders of the church and a safe haven for the daily battles we wall deal with.  Please keep the ministry in your prayers.  Time can be contacted at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .  you can also check out the campus ministry website at www.ccsu.org.

Mark and Karen Abercrombie PDF Print E-mail

An update from Mark and Karen Abercrombie...We so appreciate and love the emails, instant messages, phone calls and cards that we receive from you guys.  It means more than you will ever know.  Month before last Karen went to a women's retreat.  At that retreat she got to know one of the new sisters in Christ in Bremen, Simone Becker.  While the retreat was quite an exercise in German for Karen it was also quite rewarding to be able to spend time with this new sister and develop a closer relationship with her.  This past month we were blessed to have her and her husband Jurgen over for dinner.  I was a little nervous at first because they neither one speak English.  Even though we were anxious about the dinner, it was a wonderful time.  They asked many questions about how we came to be in Germany.  What is really exciting is that Jurgen is asking so many questions about God, Christ and Christianity in general.  Simone is so excited about her new life in Christ and really wants Jurgen to become a Christian.  Jurgen is searching and processing all this information.  I ask you guys to remember  him in your prayers.  God is working on him, Jurgen has a desire to know and understand...it won't be long...please pray.  The campaign finished in the middle of the month.  What a great group of folks that came.  They so encouraged the family here in Bremen.  Please continue to remember our upcoming move in your prayers.  We will make a short trip to Chemnitz this month to make final preparations for the move.  We love you guys and pray for you always.  For Him, Mark and Karen.  If you would like to contact them they can be emailed at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Pray for Mission Trip to Mexico PDF Print E-mail

In Matamoros, Mexico you would have a hard time believing you were just ten minutes from Texas and the typical American comforts of home.  Matamoros, a city of almost a million, is just across the Rio Grande from Brownsville, Texas on the Gulf Coast.  Thousands come to the border from the interior of Mexico with hopes of crossing into the United states to find work.  Those who make it across, many illegally, leave behind families who live dat-to-day waiting for their loved ones to send money.  Many are left broken hearted and without basic food and shelter.  Matamoros is a community that desperately needs the love of Jesus and the hope of the Gospel.  Thousands of Christian youth, adults and college students have gone to the border on mission projects to build houses for the poor, build churches and participate in evangelistic ministries like door-to-door evangelism, prayer, medical clinics and Vacation Bible Schools.  This week, members of Levy, Somers Avenue and Sylvan Hills are in Matamoros to help with the work there.  Please keep them in your prayers this week.  Pray for their safe travel and pray that their trip be successful.
